Sometimes a person reaches a crossroad and must make a choice – continue in the same direction or take a turn. Vigilante faced that crossroad in 2004 and chose to take a turn away from where he came from. Turning his back on violence and the dark streets that nearly took him, rejuvenated and rehabilitated, Vigilante has focused his energy into spreading a positive message through his creative and lyrical talent.

Vigilante has overcome his past to emerge as a leading crossover artist reaching out to the masses though R&B, pop, bhangra – not forgetting rap and hip pop. Collaborations with leading artists in their respective fields demonstrate Vigilante’s versatility and creativity – he refuses to be boxed into one genre although his roots are in rap and hip hop. His most recent collaboration with pop sensation ‘Gina G’ titled ‘Next To You’ is being released soon. Vigilante’s evolution continues as his fan base grows and demand more from him. Vigilante’s image and message is one of positive change.

The body art that adorns Vigilante’s skin reflects his story and personal journey. Each piece of body art represents a part of his life. Born Vikram Singh Riat from Slough, UK, he is taking the music scene by storm and expanding to reach audiences beyond his grassroots fan base.

Vigilante’s mix tapes have been well received and his singles are getting air time on radio and television. ‘They call me…VIG’ has been downloaded more than thirty thousand times, with his latest mix tape ‘Tha 1st’ topping the most viewed charts on ‘GetRightMusic’ – one of the largest mix tape publications in America. Vigilante has attracted attention from the UK’s leading music publication, ‘Grime Daily’, working with them on various mix tape viral music videos and receiving recognition in the industry.

Vigilante is already reaching out to industry insiders this year working with ‘The Truth’ (Sony EMI) managed by ‘Dirty Money’ stateside. Vigilante’s second mix tape is already in production and is receiving positive response. The latest single ‘Gimme Some Room’ off the album ‘HisStory in the Making’ will be released soon accompanied by a professionally cut video shot by renowned music video director Luke Biggins.

Vigilante’s collaborations with artists and producers continues in 2011 and it is set to be a busy productive year. This include working on several projects alongside Alan Sampson who produced Jay Sean’s album ‘My Own Way’ and the smash hit single ‘Ride It’.

Hailing as the ‘Nu Breed of Rap’ Vigilante is set to change the way artists are viewed and to breakout from the ordinary and expected. No-one has seen anything like this, no-one has seen anyone like him. He is Vigilante.
